Phobos’ and Deimos’ Shield of Terror

Phobos and Deimos’ Shield of Terror is an Immortal Artifact focused on defense and protection. An Immortal Artifact is a nonphysical object that exists on the spirit and astral planes. The shield appears as a dull mirror. However, when a threat is near, it polishes and begins to reflect vibrantly. It summons the worst fears of those who activated it and makes them palpable, using powerful illusion work. This power builds in proportion to how aggressive the threat is. It will begin with minor fears, but if they persist, everything will get increasingly intense. Despite being an illusion, this illusory work doesn’t function in the way we think of. The illusion can cause actual damage to spirits and entities and works to heighten fears and create panic. All around, it is quite functional and handy, an excellent addition to any protection measures. As a disclaimer, it will not work on everything, but it is nonetheless quite effective for most threats. Additionally, it helps the bearer to feel confident and ready to make rational, beneficial decisions when in situations where adrenaline might be going.

Naturally, having a Phobos’ and Deimos’ Shield of Terror will improve your connection to both Phobos and Deimos. Working with Phobos or Deimos is not necessary to bond with your Shield of Terror successfully, but if Phobos or Deimos takes a liking to you, one of them may initiate contact.
